Board of Directors Begins Budget Work
 

WMSWCD will soon begin the three-step annual budget process (fiscal year 2010-11) as required by state law with ample opportunities for public participation. The budget advisory committee will include volunteer citizens and elected board members who will meet several times from March - June to review, revise and adopt the budget proposal submitted by the district manager. Voter approval of a tax base three years ago has allowed WMSWCD to hire conservation technicians to serve district property owners and to offer financial incentives to complete watershed protection priority projects.
