Our Mission:

To conserve and protect soil and water resources for people, wildlife and the environment.

West Multnomah SWCD has a seven-member Board of Directors which includes representatives of five geographic zones, and two at-large Directors. Directors are elected by the public on the general ballot, and serve without pay. The Board also appoints Associate Directors to assist with projects. Our District encompasses all of Multnomah County west of the Willamette River. It also includes all of Sauvie Island.  Ross Island, in the Willamette River is in the East Multnomah SWCD.

The West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District prohibits discrimination in all their programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, and marital or family status. (Not all prohibited bases apply to all programs.)
