FISH Grants
Financial Incentives for Sustainable Habitats (FISH) advances the mission of the District by leveraging District funds through conservation-related work that is carried out by cooperators.
~ Supports conservation projects, conservation education, and community events that promote natural resource conservation.
Must address one or more of the following: water quality, watershed health, flora health, wildlife habitat, fish habitat.

CARE Grants
Conservation Assistance and Restoration Enabling (CARE) is a tool for assisting landowners and land managers who are directly working with the District.
CARE grants authorize District Technical staff to use funds for contracted services with the following limitations:
~ Funds must be used to pay contracted services for technical design, engineering, specifications or other consultant services to provide assistance to cooperators for the purpose of improving, developing or implementing practices.
~ To qualify for assistance, a cooperator must be implementing a current conservation plan, or be in the process of developing a conservation plan with WMSWCD technical staff.
~ Project must address one or more of the District's target areas and fit with the strategic scope of the WMSWCD.
~ Expenditures up to $10,000 may be authorized by the District Manager, at the request of the Conservation Planner (Expenditures over $10,000 may be authorized by the Board).
